Watch Sheri Paisley in "When You Were the Sea"

Experience the coastal landscape of Ucluelet, BC through the lens of painter Sheri Paisley as she pairs atmospheric video footage of the region with new works from her solo exhibition When You Were the Sea. In this reflective short film, Paisley offers observations on place, memory, and the deep connection between the ocean and our own inner selves that informs her recent paintings.

When You Were the Sea opens at Bau-Xi Vancouver's main level gellery on October 4 and runs through October 16, 2025.
