A reproduction of Ian Stone’s incredible painting, Doubting Thomas, has been installed in Ottawa as part of Strength, Activism, Hope, an outdoor public exhibition presented by Canadian Heritage in collaboration with the LGBT Purge Fund, alongside the inauguration of Thunderhead, Canada’s new 2SLLGBTQI+ national monument.
The exhibition features reproductions of chosen artworks from Canadian visual artists, photographers, graphic designers, and illustrators that explicitly celebrate the strength, activism, and hope of diverse queer communities across Canada. It is installed along the Eastern Recreational Pathway Tunnel, which directly leads to the monument. This pathway runs beneath the Portage Bridge and Wellington Street in downtown Ottawa.
Congratulations to Ian and the other artists featured in this exhibition!
