George Byrne is featured in a candid and contemplative in-depth interview with Sjaan Askwith for Denizen Magazine in which he opens up about his genesis as an artist and observer of the world, the evolution of his distinctive visual language, the influence of life's major events, and what he sees as the future of his art. 

An excerpt from the October 2, 2025 article:

"Over time, [George's] themes have shifted from purely aesthetic compositions to something more layered. “Especially after going through things like the pandemic, becoming a father, losing loved ones, the work started carrying more emotional weight. There’s still quietness and stillness, but also a kind of melancholy, or searching. I think the older I get, the more I’m interested in mystery.”"
