Andre Petterson in the Studio

A behind the scenes look at artist Andre Petterson's home studio and the making of his new exhibition "CLIME", which explores the nature of change.

Petterson's process involves scouting the urban landscape and natural environment for photographic subjects and then artfully merging and layering these disparate visual elements to create evocative compositions.

With imagery taken from the beaches and shores of our local waters merged with artist's documentary record of trans-generational architecture, an exploration of the structures which contour the shapes of our domestic lives —  Petterson manipulates these real-word artifacts to fabricate provocative narrative scenes, at once profoundly stirring and hauntingly beautiful.
