5th Annual Art Auction for Old Growth | Featuring Bau-Xi Artists
The Art Auction for Old-Growth (AAOG) returns online for its fifth edition this September 17-24, uniting 23 leading Canadian artists in a one-of-a-kind fundraiser where all proceeds support the Nature-Based Solutions Foundation’s projects to protect endangered old-growth forests and support the communities that steward them.
Founded by Bau-Xi artist Kyle Scheurmann, this year's auction includes work by fellow Bau-Xi artists Anne Griffiths, Mel Gausden, Gavin Lynch, and Nicole Katsuras. For a full list of all participating artists, please see below.

The Patagonia Toronto and Patagonia Vancouver stores are both supporting the Art Auction for Old Growth by hosting two in-person events: Thursday, September 17th at Patagonia Vancouver and Tuesday, September 22 at Patagonia Toronto. Both events will showcase selected artworks, have opportunities for live bidding, and feature artist talks and panel discussions exploring the role of art in environmental action.

Since it began in 2022, the AAOG has raised nearly $115,000, with 100% of proceeds going towards safeguarding endangered old-growth forests and supporting Indigenous-led conservation initiatives & land stewardship in BC.
The Nature-Based Solutions Foundation (NBSF) represents some of western Canada’s most experienced conservationists. For decades, they have worked to protect scores of native ecosystems, inform critical conservation policy, and play a leading role in building the modern old-growth conservation movement in BC.
