NYC Central Park Fall Reservoir - Available in 5 sizes
Milstein takes his aerial photographs from the cockpit of light aircraft or small, agile helicopters, always flying at sunset, when the low light makes shadows longer and suffuses everything with a golden glow. Almost all of his images look straight down at the landscape — what’s known as ‘vertical’ aerial photography, a technique that requires the aircraft to bank steeply and fly around a target in tight circles, allowing the camera to point straight down.
Milstein's high-resolution photographs use the latest advancements in photographic technology to capture minute detail. The artist's large format photographs are printed in his New York studio with archival materials. The works are framed in white behind UltraVue92, protecting the artwork from 92% of UV rays; frames measure 0.75 inches wide and 2 inches deep.
The artist's 55.5 X 74 inch and 60 X 80 inch photographs are framed in white behind plexiglass.
