Discovering thin, translucent porcelain panels in China rekindled Burrows' lifelong pursuit of materials that “glow” from within, a quality he first fell in love with through fresco and later explored in pigmented polyester. Working in Jingdezhen, he experimented with glazes and spray techniques to create duo-chrome, colour-field porcelain pieces that echoe, but do not replicate, the luminous depth of his resin works.
