All That Gives
Cori Creed is an established West Coast Canadian artist celebrated for her expressive, texture-rich paintings inspired by the natural beauty of British Columbia. Represented by Bau-Xi Gallery since 2011, Creed’s work captures the essence of the Canadian landscape through bold colour, dynamic brushwork, and an intuitive, painterly approach.
Drawing from immersive outdoor experiences - from canoeing across tranquil eastern lakes to walking along rugged Pacific coastlines - Creed transforms fleeting moments into striking visual compositions. Her paintings explore reflections of tangled branches on still water, the rhythmic contrast of birch groves, and the interplay of light and shadow across driftwood-strewn beaches, rocky outcrops, and fields of wild grasses in bloom. Each piece evokes a sense of movement, serenity, and connection to nature.
Born in Vancouver in 1973, Creed studied Fine Art at Simon Fraser University and Design at Capilano College. Her paintings are held in prominent private and corporate collections across Canada, including Bentall Centre, Nordstrom, Lions Gate Hospital Foundation, and British Pacific Properties.
Working from her studio in West Vancouver, Cori Creed continues to create original Canadian landscape paintings that blend abstraction and representation, offering collectors timeless pieces that celebrate nature’s energy and beauty.
