350 Dundas Street West, Toronto
Opening Reception Thursday, June 8, 5:30-7:30 pm
This June, Bau-Xi Toronto presents a feature of internationally acclaimed photographer, Kim Keever. He is known for his colourful large-scale abstractions, which he creates by pouring paint into a 200-gallon tank of water in his studio. Keever uses his large-format digital camera to capture the resulting clouds of colour as they swirl into different forms and diffuse themselves through the water.
Kim Keever's work has been widely collected and can be found in numerous public and private collections, including the Bank of America; Harvard Library; Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC; Museum of Modern Art, NYC; Brooklyn Museum of Art, Brooklyn, NY; Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington, DC, and the Kunstmuseum Den Haag, The Netherlands.
