Westcoast Suite
"West Coast Suite" is a compendium of symbolic areas, places and occurrences that represents a "landscape of ideas." This landscape is unreal, sometimes sensual, sometimes rugged and spiked with colour. The hard-edge areas suggest an urban space, contrasted by areas of soft, natural tonality broken up by fragments and changes of texture and rhythm.
Tait's abstract works on canvas and paper incorporate colour fields with blocks of saturated, multi-layered texture and fragmented forms.
