Belgian artist Isabelle Menin (b. 1961) is a Brussels‑based contemporary photographer celebrated for her richly layered, digitally constructed “disordered landscapes.” Her vibrant, hyper‑sensory images reimagine natural forms through a painterly lens. Working primarily in large‑scale digital pigment prints, Menin transforms floral and botanical source material into compositions marked by luminous colour, dynamic movement, and an uncanny interplay of form and abstraction.
Menin studied at the Graphic Research School (ERG) in Brussels and spent a decade exploring painting, graphic design, and illustration before fully embracing digital photography as her primary medium. This multidisciplinary foundation informs her unique visual language: petals, stems, and natural fragments are meticulously photographed, manipulated, and reassembled into layered landscapes that evoke lush baroque richness and contemporary visual energy.
Her photographs have been featured internationally in solo and group exhibitions at institutions and art fairs across Europe, North America, and Asia, including shows in New York, San Francisco, Berlin, Paris, Milan, and Shanghai, garnering attention for their imaginative depth, sophisticated colour dynamics, and structural inventiveness.
Menin’s work is held in numerous private and corporate collections.
