Tom Burrows' iconic polymer resin work is featured in Vancouver Art Gallery's new exhibition Black and White and Everything In Between: A Monochrome Journey. The exhibition delves into the exploration of monochrome as a central theme in artistic practice, examining a series of distinctive colours one at a time. Appearing in the White portion of the exhibition, Burrows’ pure, warm white work not only suggests such concepts as enlightenment, clarity and the infinite, but also draws attention to the subtleties of the polymer resin medium itself, which has inspired the artist creatively for more than 50 years.
Black and White and Everything In Between: A Monochromatic Journey opened on June 9 and runs through November 3, 2024.
