Late Night Cruise on the Surface
The artist states: "Late Night Cruise On The Surface" was done from a memory of paddling across my favourite pond close to where I live in the Okanagan. For over 15 years, I've often canoed quietly at night in this pond. One night, while paddling I stared into the blue abyss which reflected the moon. It’s a painting with specific limited colour and the rings of movement on the water was the visual connection to the surface."
Alexander’s canvases exhibit high colour contrasts using a combination of dry and wet brushwork. Canvases display the artist’s gestural painting style, and have a matte finish. Paintings are ready to hang framed or unframed.
