Please contact the gallery for more information on this work.

"The Shrine of the Arbore Monastery (Romanian Orthodox) is in Suceava County in the region of Bucovina, Romania. It was built in 1502 by Luca Arbore, and dedicated to the Beheading of St. John the Baptist. The monastery is one of eight painted churches inspired by Byzantine Art and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site." - David Leventi

Leventi's dramatic and refined compositions are captured using 4x5” and 8x10” Arca-Swiss cameras to maximize the rich detail in his architectural subjects. Works are printed at the artist's New York studio and mounted to an archival aluminum substrate. The 72x90 inch editions are presented mounted with an aluminum subframe for a contemporary, frameless installation style. 40x50 and 50x60 inch editions are framed in white with non-reflective plexiglass; frames measure 0.75 inches wide and 2 inches deep.
