Tamara Bond is an artist and writer who graduated with a Bachelor in Visual Arts from Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in 1998. Her drawings and books have been shown across Canada, and her work has been collected by private and public institutions including The Green Party and The Saskatchewan Arts Board.
She has been represented by the Bau-Xi Gallery in Vancouver BC since 2004, where she has had six solo shows, including the popular “Love Project” series.
In 2004 that series was published by the Saskatoon based chapbook collective, Jackpine Press. Her drawings and illustrations have been featured in the quarterly Grain Magazine where she was hired to create illustrated astrological horoscopes. Her most memorable moment was when the book of poetry “Nerve Squall” by Sylvia Legris which featured Bond's piece on the cover, won the prestigious Griffin Poetry prize.
She currently lives in Victoria, B.C. Her most recent book Hungry for Cake will be her 9th publication with her small but strong, Go Bird Go press.
